Large Bore Heaven

I have owned the silver 180L since 1976. It has been extremely dependable with a rich dark sound. I use the #3 (not 3C) mouthpiece for concert and church work and the #3C for big band. Valve action is superb and there is still no leakage or radial play. (I lube them before every use and during intermission in pit orchs.) It has taken its share of dings with no complaints. I have worn off the silver every place I touch it, but I just tell people I've "customized" the finish so I can recognize it in a pile of trumpets. Druthers: Amato water valves on main and 3rd slides. [This horn has cork spitter on main slide only.] Also wish there were a finish that wouldn't go away after 35 years of use ;-)
