The Power of a Les Paul

By Aaron Peterson from Edgewood Md on 12/30/2013 8:01:01 PM

For Christmas, I got this guitar. Before this I had a 2011 Fender Strat. I noticed a huge difference when I played this. For starters, the sound and feel of it is amazing (unless you are sitting down, then it digs into your ribs just a little). Second of all, because of the wide use if the Les Paul Models, it makes u feel like a Rock Star. Songs that took me 3 years to learn and fail on my Fender, took me just 2 days on the Les Paul. Some of these songs I never tried and it tool me 30 min to learn (Ex: Enter Sandman, All Nightmare Long, The Day That Never Comes). When You Hold this Guitar it mentally make you think that ready to play guitar leading to you being determined to try. This Guitar has Amazing power in it. If you plan to change out the Hardware to Chrome or Gold. Get it in Ebony colors. Then one con of this guitar is the Tuners are Constantly coming out of tune. Other than that. This Guitar has amazing performance. Much better than the Fender. If you are a first timer, Get the Player or Performance pack. (Note: The above is my Success with the Epiphone Les Paul S2. Yours might vary depending on skill, and Experience. I've only been playing for about 3 years and I have taken 2 years of Guitar in Highschool)

Simply Amazing

By Ryan Baggett from Burlinton, NC on 7/19/2011 10:58:57 AM

The moment I seen the guitar in the Burlington store, I had to get it. For the price, WOW. I am so indescribable shocked as to the performance from this guitar. Love it! I play several types of music, and all are well produced with this guitar. Thanks

Epiphone Les Pauls

By Jordan Chase from Maryland on 2/18/2011 11:47:29 PM

The Les Paul Special 2 is great. It was my first guitar and I still have it. I had the neck adjusted and I use flatwound strings for jazz(D'Adarrio) and I use round wound DR's for rock, quartet, etc. This guitar sounds as good as any $3000 one. I recently used it on a gig at the Birchmere Music Hall in V.A. with Walter Beasley. I suggest this as a great affordable and useful guitar.

Epiphone guitars rock!!!

By chris from Branford, Ct on 4/26/2014 6:42:14 PM

I recently started playing guitar again after taking too many years off. After months of playing my acoustic I felt a need to plug in and play electric. I tried out many different guitars.Fender,Ibanez,Emg and many others. When I picked up the Epiphone I could not believe the feel and playability of this guitar. The neck was fast and smooth, the sound was incredible. And I could not believe the workmanship of this guitar. Its hard too believe this guitar is under $200 but it is. Epiphone has done a fantastic job with this guitar. If you crave a Les Paul but can't afford its price tag, this Epiphone is your guitar. I can't say it enough, this is a fantastic guitar with classic Les Paul sound. The other brand guitars can't even come close to its workmanship, playability and sound. 5 star rating!!!
