Gibson Limited Run Flying V 7-String Electric Guitar

The classic Flying V body gets extra crunch and thicker chords. It features a solid mahogany body with premium nitrocellulose ebony finish for an extra resonant super-fat tone, Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru, and gold hardware including Steinberger 40:1 gearless tuners for maximum tuning precision. An active EMG-707 humbucker with alnico magnets in the neck position and a Active EMG-81-7 with ceramic magnets in the bridge deliver molten tone. Includes Gibson hardshell case.

Active EMG-707 Neck Humbucker
The 707 uses two alnico magnet-loaded wide-aperture coils that beefs up the low B tone with tons of output that's more clear and natural tone while providing a more responsive, super tight overall tone.

Active EMG-81-7 Bridge Humbucker
Designed for the 7-string lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. It produces a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing.

The Flying V was years ahead of its time, as Gibson dealers tended to think of it as a display prop rather than a guitar to sell. It wasn't until the late 1960s that the electric guitar started to gain popularity. As guitar heroes such as Albert King, Jimi Hendrix and Lonnie Mack adopted it, the "V" quickly became symbolic of rock 'n' roll itself.
