Gibson SG Junior '60s Left-Handed Electric Guitar

The basic, no-nonsense design, SG looks, and P-90 sound combine to produce an axe of subdued good looks and sonic firepower. Equipped with a genuine mahogany body, rounded SG mahogany Slim Taper neck, and a single P-90 "Dog Ear" pickup that produces plenty of gutsy, gritty tones enhanced by the warmth and bite of the mahogany body. The new baked maple fingerboard has the tactile feel and response of ebony, but with a very traditional warm, brown finish. It's extremely stable, fast and smooth.

Baked Maple:
Aging maple through a “baking” process called torrefaction. The wood is kept at 200-300º F for a period of time until the wood knows it’s no longer a tree; Moisture is restored under pressure. This makes the wood very hard, sonically “live” and extremely stable. The snappy sound of ebony, with the look of medium-brown pau ferro. Many boutique manufacturers are now using this because it improves the wood with no chemical treatment, it’s environmentally friendly and is great for making better sounding and playing guitars!
