H181 Fixed Bell. The Holton Farkas H181 / H281 Double French Horn features a rose brass bell that produces a darker sound. Capable of a wide range of dynamics, it can be played loud without a brassy edge to the sound. The large throat, red brass bell of the Farkas 181 F Horn is perfect for woodwind quintet work, where a darker sound is needed for blending purposes. The H181 Double Horn is also available in a screw bell model as model H281.
