This instrument has been used very little and shows few signs of use. In most respects it looks and feels like a new instrument you'd find in a retail store. Specifically, this instrument has minor dents in the tubing and evidence that a dent has been removed from the bell as shown in the pictures.

Product Overview

The Holton H200 Descant Horn with Detachable Bell is pitched in High F, one octave higher than standard F, to help players tackle the high-register demands of Baroque repertoire. The Holton H200 Horn features an extra fourth slide to put the Bb horn in the key of A. The H200 Descant Horn also has mechanical ball action linkage and a medium-throat detachable bell. The Holton H200 Descant Horn includes a case and mouthpiece and is available in lacquer finish.

The H200 Descant Horn
This instrument is a "full" (not compensating) double, requiring no compromise of intonation on valve combination, as is the case with compensating designs. The fifth valve is a Bb-F rotor. The fourth valve is a muting valve that lowers the horn 3/4 step to bring stopped horn mutes into tune; no transposing is necessary. Extra fourth slide puts Bb horn in the key of A, so written E horn parts do not have to be transposed.
