Holton H379 Intermediate French Horn

It has playing characteristics similar to the H179 Farkas, but a darker sound with a good center and projection. Harder nickel silver material responds quickly and sounds brighter up close. Hand-fitted rotary valves are manufactured to precise tolerances to provide quick and effortless response.

Holton H379 French Horn

By Michelle D. from Oak Park, IL on 2/15/2011 8:45:06 PM

Our son switched from a rented single Yamaha horn to this one, which we purchased. He finds it easier to play than the Yamaha and it sounds really great, more mellow than the Yamaha. It's eassier for him to hit higher notes, too. He tried out a few horns before selecting this model. The one issue is that the key sometimes clicks and needs to be tightened.
