The Joe Barden S-Deluxe Strat HSH 3-Pickup Set is comprised of 2 HB Two/Tone pickups at the Bridge and Neck and 1 S-Deluxe Middle pickup for the middle position of a 3 pickup Stat styled guitar. The improved signal and tone of this set will dramatically improve the sound of any HSH Strat-style guitar.

HB Two/Tone Pickups

The Joe Barden HB Two/Tone Neck and Bridge Pickups are full-sized dual blade humbucker pickups designed for players who are looking for the maximum amount of tone, sensitivity and output, without being saddled with an inherently distorted or muddy-sounding humbucker. The HB Two/Tone provides incredible low-end clarity and overall high sustain characteristics that make it suitable for virtually any musical style, from blues to rock to jazz.

The HB Two/Tones are switchable between their full bodied humbucker mode and their alternate single coil sound modes, all the while being noise and hum free in either mode. The switchable nature of the HB Two/Tone allows Strat players to get beefy bridge and and neck tones of an HSH configured guitar while being able to switch back to a basic SSS configured Strat.

Switching of the HB TTs is done with a non-supplied push/pull DPDT pot or mini DPDT toggle switches. Switching is totally noiseless even a high volumes.

S-Deluxe Pickup
The tone of the S-Deluxe is absolutely Strat in character, but with greatly expanded fidelity and a balanced frequency response. Of course, hum and noise are completely eliminated. These pickups are incredibly sensitive, giving you a wide range of tones and output levels simply by adjusting the distance of the pickup from the strings.

In-between tones in the #2 and #4 switch positions are maintained with the HB TTs in their alternate modes. It's like having a 5 pickup guitar.
