The Joe Barden S-Deluxe 3-Pickup HSS Set is comprised of 1 HB Two/Tone pickup in the bridge and 2 S-Deluxe Neck/Middle pickups for the neck and middle positions of a 3 pickup Stat styled guitar. The improved signal and tone of this set will dramatically improve the sound of any HSS Strat-style guitar.

HB Two/Tone Pickup

The Joe Barden HB Two/Tone Neck Pickup is a full-sized dual blade humbucker pickup designed for players who are looking for the maximum amount of tone, sensitivity and output, without being saddled with an inherently distorted or muddy-sounding humbucker.

The HB Two/Tone in the bridge is switchable between its full bodied humbucker mode and its alternate single coil sound mode, all the while being noise and hum free in either mode. The switchable nature of the HB Two/Tone allows Strat players to get beefy bridge tones of an HSS configuration while being able to switch back to an SSS configured Strat.

Switching of the HB TTs is done with a non-supplied push/pull DPDT pot or mini DPDT toggle switches. Switching is totally noiseless even a high volumes.

S-Deluxe Pickups
The tone of the S-Deluxe is absolutely Strat in character, but with greatly expanded fidelity and a balanced frequency response. Of course, hum and noise are completely eliminated. These pickups are incredibly sensitive, giving you a wide range of tones and output levels simply by adjusting the distance of the pickup from the strings.

In-between tones in the #4 switch position (bridge and middle) are maintained with the HB TT in its alternate mode. It's like having a 4 pickup guitar.
