The Quantum high tension snare drum combines the traditional design and function of a conventional marching snare drum with the ability to accommodate high tension tuning. This is made possible by a special aluminum bearing edge ring and die cast hoops. Specifications include a 6 ply (2 interior Birch/4 exterior Maple) shell with aluminum edge ring, die cast aluminum hoops, 12 tube lugs, pro marching strainer with reinforced synthetic gut snares, 3 air vents and weighs 18.7 lbs.
