Lacks Durability in High-Use Situations

My students use this mic on a daily basis before rehearsals and lessons. While the mic performs satisfactorily, it fails over time. The primary problem is that the insulated wire fractures at the point where it meets the jack. Also, the foam pad at the pick-up sticks during humid months, and then tears when the pick-up is opened. While the price is attractive, long-term reliability is not. This mic is best suited for low-use, private-user situations.
