The Meinl Weston 5450 THOR Professional 5/4CC Tuba is an outstanding all-round instrument with a lot of "hammer" sound. Developed in cooperation of Jens Björn -Larsen, formally of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Kopenhagen, the Meinl Weston Thor 5450 features a 17.71 inch bell for great resonance plus 4 steel piston valves and thumb activated 5th rotary valve along with a .748 inch (.787 inch 4th valve and .807 5th valve) for excellent action and a solid low register with a huge sound. The Meinl Weston 5450 THOR Professional 5/4CC Tuba is available in lacquer (5450-L) or silver (5450-S) finish. Case NOT included.
