Product Details

Miraphone 186 Series 4 Valve CC Tuba

The Miraphone S186 Standard Series 4/4 CC Tubas offer an excellent choice for the player searching for a quality CC tuba. The "S" version of the 186 series does not have nickel-silver tuning slides and brace tubes. The slides and brace tubes are just polished and lacquered brass. This lack of nickel-silver trim gives the S186 CC tuba a darker sound. The heavier brass and valves make it one of the best tubas on the market for the money invested. The Miraphone S186 Standard Series 4/4 CC Tuba includes a mouthpiece and is available in lacquer finish in a 4-valve (S186-4VC) or 5-valve (S186-5VC) design. Case NOT included.

The Founder of the German Tuba TraditionHere is possibly the most popular tuba in the world today. Made using the same craftsmanship as in 1947, these horns have set the standard for many years. Here is a chance to own a fine instrument with a sense of history to it.
