This Vision Series 14" x 14" VSX Floor Tom features an 8-ply 10mm-thick birch/basswood shell. Inspired by Pearl's Masterworks and Reference Series, the thicker floor tom shell delivers high-energy power and punch. Nothing short of Pearl's Reference Series is anywhere close to matching the Vision's sound.

After thorough research, Pearl discovered that the inner ply of a drum shell has the greatest effect on the tonal quality of the drum. Therefore, putting birch on the inner ply of this drum gives it a naturally EQ’d, punchy tone with enhanced projection and sustain.

Two-ply ProTone batter heads are standard on toms for super-easy tuning and full, rich sound. The Vision's newly designed lugs are inspired by the Reference Series and include precision-machined brass swivel nuts with zero play for smooth and pinpoint tuning.
