Good Beginning Reed - Good Beginning Price

I use these reeds in my Instrumental program at a grade 4-6 school. These reeds are very good beginning reeds for my students. The quality is good for a first year player. It is relatively easy for my students to produce a sound using a Rico reed. Our students generally purchase the reeds from us, so the price point is good for them as well. Many of our students would not have the means to purchase an upper level reed, so this meets our standard for beginners and mid level players. The other nice feature is the plastic case for each reed which has solved the problem of having a reed case for each instrument (plus the plastic is recyclable #5 plastic). Consider using this entry level reed for your beginners until they develop the need for the next level reed.

Rico Reeds

These reeds work well. I get a great sound out of them, but the Rico Royals I find sound and feel better than the normal Rico reeds.
