I just got these reeds for Christmas for my alto and tenor sax, and I have to say that these reeds are amazing! They are loud, but they can be tamed and they are bright. I am looking for a John Coltrane sort of sound on my tenor and these reeds bring me one step closer. The reeds are EXTREMELY free blowing and altissimo is very clean and precise, especially with the alto sax reeds. Overall, these reeds are everything that I need and I plan on using them in the foreseeable future. If you play jazz, these reeds are the answer. The same can be said if you are in a marching band.
