This is the mpc I've been playing for the last 20 years or so. And what does it not do? Seriously, the intonation and response are just perfection. For those of you who want 'dark' tone, look no further, and you can tongue better on it, too, which is something we all want. Anyone considering a mpc who wants to upgrade from their beginner's mpc, or even from that not-so-great standard B45, try one of these....you'll never need to buy another mpc! (Well, after saying that, you DO need to replace your mpc every 5-10 years, depending on how much playing you do, because of facing warpage, which happens to all mpcs.)
