The Schalloch Cajon with Flames is the perfect percussion instrument for intimate stages. Players sit on the top of the box, reach down and strike the front surface to produce a variety of authentic Afro-Cuban and flamenco tones.

When the ash wood front plate is played in the center a round, open, warm tone is emitted. Strike toward the edges and pitches rise to a high, clear sound. A vented hole on the back plate allows air to escape to support the various tonalities.

Tension screws allow you to adjust the front plate for diverse slap sounds. An adjustable "snare" wire runs the length of the face plate to provide varying degrees of a buzz tone, or no buzz at all.
