Super Sensitive Spector Violin Mute

Fred Spector, violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, designed this mute especially for Super-Sensitive. It's made of a synthetic material that will slide easily over the bridge.

Best Mute I've Ever Owned

By Hannah from Littleton, CO on 2/28/2011 10:32:50 PM

I've tried all sorts of mutes during the many years I've been playing violin, and this one is by far my favorite. Whereas other mutes fall off easily or rattle obnoxiously when not being used, the Spector mute stays securely on the strings and never rattles. Plus, it is very easy to slide on and off. It literally just slides right onto the bridge, unlike some other mutes that require a bit more effort to secure. It is slightly more expensive than most other orchestral mutes on the market, but it is definitely worth the extra cost. Highly recommended!
