Tama Starclassic Performer Birch and Bubinga Snare Drum
The Tama Starclassic Performer Birch and Bubinga Snare Drum has outer plies of birch paired with an inner layer of African bubinga. The harder, thicker bubinga accentuates birch's distinct tone and projection. The combination of the 2 tonewoods creates a more powerful, deeply rounded sound that is unlike any other drum.
Tama MUS80A strainer
When you move the lever to the on position, the lever simultaneously locks at the highest tension position—the lever won't slip to the off position, even on the loosest tension settings. The MUS80A is totally secure when you want it on, and easy to switch off when you want it off.
Tama MCS70B butt
The MCS70B uses the basic butt assembly of the MUS80B. Large 6mm screws provide improved durability.
Tama Hold Tight washer
The Hold Tight washer's cup-shaped stainless steel washer contains a rubber ring, so the tension rod pushes both the cup washer and the rubber ring. Normally, vibrations will eventually loosen the tension rod. But the softness of Hold Tight's rubber ring keeps it in contact with both the tension rod and the hoop at all times and maintains friction between them, so tension is always preserved.
