Hand-carved from one piece of environmentally-friendly plantation grown mahogany wood, the Stage Series Djembe has increased rope runners and three rings to improve tuning and eliminate head slippage.

The kiln dried shell has a natural finish with up to 20 coats of teak oil to protect and preserve the wood. The shell is lathe turned for uniform thickness, with lateral groove surfaced carvings on the interior bowl to reduce overtones.

The number of low-stretch alpine tuning ropes with braided cores has been increased for more accurate tuning and consistent tone. A hand-selected authentic goatskin head delivers authentic, dynamic djembe tone.

A heavy-duty padded djembe bag with adjustable shoulder straps,hip belt, and exterior pouches is included.
