"The only reed I will ever use."

Vandoren manufactures the highest quality of reeds that I have ever come across. I Use Vandoren #3 on my Otto link mouthpiece for Jazz, and a Vandoren #3.5 on my Selmer C* for Classical. These reeds allow the player an incredible amount of flexibility in the areas of sound, dynamic range, and resistance. I find that these reeds create enough resistance that I can have a powerful sound, but still without playing too forcefully. The dynamic range with these reeds is incredible; whether playing classical or jazz. The sound that these reeds provide is top notch. There is enough Leeway for the player to decide what type of sound he/she wants, and to change their sound (without surrendering it) according to the type of music being played. I have used these reeds since I started playing the saxophone, and I also use them on clarinet as well. I highly recommend anyone playing a single reed instrument to try these reeds.

I've been playin sax for about 4 years and Vandoren is all I can play with. Any others i try aren't the same.

My son has been playing tenor and alto saxophone for 7 years and has tried many reeds during that time period. He loves the Vandoren reeds and demands that I only buy them! Great sound, comfort.
