Product Details

Vic Firth Quadropad

Designed for practicing quads. Spacing is to scale with 1/4" rim-to-rim drums. Pads are laid out accurately and cut for all playing areas - both standard and scrape. 2 spock pads made with a thinner rubber than the main quad pads have a more authentic feel.

Good pad

By Jill Seitz from Plymouth Meeting, PA on 2/15/2011 5:45:56 PM

The Vic Firth Quad pad is a great practicing tool for any tenor player ranging from beginner to expert. The pad is sleek with convenient holes to carry it around, and the pads themselves have a realistic feel similar to the actual drums, even more so if you throw on the laminates! The design, however, has flaws: - You can't really hear if you're hitting the right zones - No rims make for a more unrealistic practice - Can't hear tonal differences in the drums Overall, however, it's a great pad for practicing!
