Excellent Student Marimba

This is the best student level concert marimba in the 4.3 octave range. The 4.3 octave size is excellent for all middle schools, and even some high schools. The concert frame should not be taken outdoors or transported very often. You'll need a field frame for that. The Acoustalon synthetic bars are the best synthetic in my opinion, with the most natural sound. The special holes or vents in the bars help prevent the unnatural sounding ring that occurs in other brand's synthetic bars. The frame is height adjustable. I have found this instrument to be very durable, if treated properly. The best feature of this instrument is the bar tuning. Yamaha bar tuning is by far superior to all the other major brands. They have very strict quality control and the tuning is very consistent.
