Yamaha YAS-875EX Custom Series Alto Saxophone
The Yamaha YAS-875EX is an evolution of the tried-and-true, wildly popular 875 design that has been a favorite of saxophonists for many years. Its retooling was born of intense research and trials that leveraged the input of some of the world's finest reed musicians. The YAS-875EX features a smooth response and a deep, refined, colorful sound. Its mechanics are characterized by a solid feel with quick and nimble action, a wide dynamic range, stunning projection, and an authoritative tone with a beautifully defined total core.
Its depth and smoothness is incredible, and its tone and playability are at home in any kind of music. The size and shape of the key buttons have been changed for a better feel, while the new Custom necks enhance tonal resonance and give a quicker, more comfortable response. They feature a two-point bell brace for better efficiency, so you don't have to work as hard to sound great.
Building upon the success of the previous Custom line, the EX Alto has been retooled to offer the classical player many new and exciting features while maintaining the same beautiful sound and excellent intonation long associated with the Custom series. New features include a design change that lessons resistance and increases projection, ergonomic improvements that enhance the overall playability of the instrument and a new lightweight case design.
