Yamaha YCR-8335 Xeno Series Bb Cornet
The Yamaha YCR-8335 Xeno Series Bb Cornet was developed in conjunction with David King, cornet soloist and director of the Yorkshire Building Society Band. The Xeno 8335 Bb Cornet features a more open, colorful sound with improved playability from the .469-inch bore plus a newly positioned first slide trigger for comfort. The Yamaha YCR-8335 Xeno Series Bb Cornet includes a case and mouthpiece and is available in lacquer (YCR-8335) or silver (YCR-8335S) finish.
The Xeno cornets were developed in close collaboration with some of the worlds best players and in particular David King, cornet soloist, Head of Performance Studies at the University of Salford and principal conductor of the Yorkshire Building Society band. David worked closely with Frankfurt based Yamaha R&D expert Thomas Lubitz, and the new instruments result from more than 20 years of research and experiments. The Yamaha YCR-8335 Bb Cornet is a striking instrument with a refined look and sound. It features a redesigned mouthpipe for optimal resistance, a comfortable yet controllable new trigger location, and a one-piece bell for flawless tone and response.
