Eugene Lovine

Beginner Piano Class

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Eugene is an Ithaca College graduate with a bachelors degree in Music and Sound Recording Technology. He is a freelance musician, and has played with various chamber choirs, bands, and orchestras beginning in 2011. He has received many awards including Allstate Rochester Piano Showcase, Suffolk County Piano Teacher’s Competition Winner, Stony Brook pre-college Concerto Competition winner, and more. Eugene has also been teaching Cello and Piano privately since 2011. When he is not teaching, he is involved in sound production for a local Film company, and live sound engineering.

Juan Gallastegui

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Juan Gallastegui is the Music Director of the Rockville Concert Band (Rockville, MD), Music Director of the Prince William Youth Orchestra (Woodbridge, VA) and Director of Bands at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington D.C. He has conducted the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra (Ashburn, VA), the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Greater Washington D.C. and he his currently a Guest Conductor with the DC String Orchestra (D.C.)

Jack Walker

Beginner Saxophone Class

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Multi-instrumentalist Jack Walker has been teaching in Georgia for the past 14 years. He holds a Music Education degree from the University of Georgia, where he studied saxophone, clarinet, and bassoon, and performed in ensembles on each of the woodwind instruments. He also played the mellophone in the marching band and basketball band. After graduating from UGA, he continued his studies at Kennesaw State University studying jazz performance with Sam Skelton, and was a soloist on flute and clarinet in the wind ensemble and orchestra.

Matt Michaud

Beginner Guitar Class

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Matt Michaud is a guitarist and educator who has twenty years’ experience in the music field. As a performer, Michaud has toured internationally and played at numerous music festivals nationwide. He has earned degrees in both Jazz and Classical Guitar Performance, including a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He currently resides in Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where he works in higher education and maintains a private guitar studio with Music and Arts.
