The CopperSound Pedals Strategy V2 is a highly powerful two-channel preamp and overdrive, based around an audiophile-grade Burr Brown Op Amp. In "Preamp Mode," Strategy can range from unity volume to a staggering 30dB boost, delivering enough volume to slam the front end of your amp for an incredible, fat and articulate overdrive. Toggling the switch on the back engages "Overdrive Mode," adding subtle to substantial grit when riding the volume knob. Its elegant tone stack (present in both channels) allows you to perfectly sculpt your signal, making it an excellent choice for an "always on" pedal. As part of their Pickguard Series, choose from a variety of finishes, pickguards, knobs and hardware, creating your very own custom preamp. The Strategy V2 is an all-analog shot of adrenaline.

Controls

TONE
A high/low-pass filter network. At 1, lows are emphasized and highs are rolled off. At 10, highs are emphasized and lows are rolled off.

VOLUME
In Preamp Mode, Volume sets the overall output level. At higher settings, the circuit will begin to distort naturally. When in Overdrive Mode, Volume sets the gain level of the overdrive signal, which works in tandem with the internal trim pot.

MODE SWITCH
Toggles between Preamp and Overdrive modes, indicated by the bypass LED.

SMART BYPASS
A tap of the footswitch will engage the pedal as normal, while holding down the footswitch will activate momentary mode. The design of CopperSound Pedals relay-based bypass network allows for the signal to pass through unaffected, should the pedal lose power.

MOMENTARY DIP SWITCH
When set to “ON,” SMART BYPASS system is engaged. To turn this off, simply switch the DIP down to the “1” position. Strategy comes factory set with momentary mode ON.

INTERNAL GAIN POT
In Overdrive Mode, the internal pot controls the overall saturation of the overdriven signal. Strategy comes factory set with the pot at 50%. Clockwise = HARDER/Counter = SOFTER.
