Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem describes an idyllic winter scene, complimented by the piano accompaniment and descending vocal lines which mirror the poet's description of gently falling snow. This secular gem, easily-learned, with limited ranges in all parts makes a superb addition to a winter/holiday program.
