Their dimensions of 1.5" to 2.6" produce notes ranging from A2 to C7 for a balanced 4.3 octave range. Thanks to expert Adams craftsmanship, each bar sings with a warm, rounded tone and quick decay perfect for both solo and ensemble playing.
Welded Resonators Eliminate Mechanical Noise
To prevent rattling and ensure the purest sound, Adams welded the resonators directly onto the Concert Marimba's bars. This construction removes the need for bolts or screws that can work loose or cause unwanted mechanical sounds over time and heavy use. The resonators themselves feature a slanted design to project each note with clarity and depth.
Apex Frame Provides Effortless Adjustability
Adams designed the Concert Marimba's Apex Frame to make transportation, setup and height changes simple for any player. The frame's rugged yet lightweight steel construction can endure frequent loading, unloading and adjustments without issue. Levers on each leg allow for quick height changes from 33.46" to 42.51" to suit a variety of players and performance positions. When it's time to move the marimba, the Apex Frame disassembles efficiently for packing into an included padded cover.
