Classic 12-string dreadnought with L.R. Baggs electronics.
The DY70CE12SHB Yairi Standard 12-string dreadnought represents the influence of Kazuo Yairi that is heard and seen in every Alvarez guitar. The DY70CE12SHB features the FST2 bracing system, a forward shifted X-brace design that features hand-scooped scalloping to the main braces and asymmetric scalloping to the two tone bars which optimizes string separation, balance and projection. The 12-string dreadnought design delivers a powerful, shimmering wall of sound with a clarity of articulation that is ideal for fingerpicking. The Yairi Dreadnought also includes an L.R. Baggs Stage Pro and Element pickup system, a side-mounted preamp/EQ that allows for easy battery access. Constructed with East Indian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top and a rosewood fingerboard, the Alvarez DY70CE12SHB provides deep, resonant acoustic tone. Additional features include a Direct Coupled Bridge for improved sustain and Gotoh tuners.
