The Alvarez MFA77CEAR Masterworks Folk Acoustic-Electric is a beautiful OM with a sophisticated vibe and a wonderfully intimate voicing. It delivers a clear projection with great sustain and fantastic separation between the notes.

The top, back and sides are premium-grade solid black walnut. Alvarez incorporates an X-brace design with tapered scalloping and tone bars with asymmetric scalloping. The result is a robust richness with greater bass presence. The body is further decked out with a Macassar ebony armrest and Macassar ebony binding. Purfling is paua abalone.

Alvarez outfitted the MFA77CEAR with a mahogany neck that has an Indian laurel/rosewood fingerboard. Inlays are made of paua abalone and mother of pearl. Along with a more angled headstock, the bi-level bridge increase string tension. By making the break angle of the strings more acute, it adds to feel and response, which is also heightened by a bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins.

Tuning is maintained with gold die-cast tuners with ebony-style buttons. The Alvarez MFA77CEAR is also performance-ready, loaded with an LR Baggs VTC Element system pickup.

Beautifully presented in a thin Shadowburst finish, it comes with an AFC30 FlexiCase.
