Bach's Trumpet Marching Lyres make it easier to keep your music organized and viewable while doing parades and half-time shows. A great way to keep your music handy while memorizing a show as well. This lyre clamps on to the mouthpiece.

Great for Bach trumpets!

Fits PERFECTLY on our older Bach Stradivarius silver trumpet. (Not the most practical trumpet model for marching band, but with this lyre, it allows him to play it for both concerts and marching.) We really like that he can simply loosen the screw and leave the clamp portion on his horn, while putting the lyre portion in his case for another time. The lyre itself works well, holds a bunch of pages of music and has minimal wobble.

Lyre screw / base broke off

I ordered 2 of these, and got to use one. I have used many of these types of lyres, but this one had the part where the screw holding the lyre easily break off at the base. Unfortunately, I had to hold the music while marching since I couldn't use it. I have never seen this happen before, very disappointed.

Good Lyre

Best lyre for trumpet players, hands down. Leaves you free to continue to use your third valve slide ring. Also good for professional model horns that have a non-removable third valve slide ring.

Great but with some disadvantages

This Lyre is great if your trumpet can't use the standard lyres. It is small and you can leave it on the horn at all times - it holds your music excellently, as i use it in marching band. However some disadvantages are: The Screw that holds the lyre up constantly comes un-screwed and makes it loose and wobbly, and you have to make the lyre so tight to keep it from falling over that it cuts into the laquer of your horn. Overall it is a good lyre and i would recommend it to anyone who wants it.
