The Dean VX Quilt Top captures the spirit of the company's vintage models at a working musician's price. A staple of the lineup since 1977, the V initially found favor with German hard rock guitarists; today, you'll find it in the hands of many thrash and metal musicians. The VX shares the traditional mahogany body, but tops it with beautiful quilted maple. The bolt-on mahogany neck has a comfortable C-shape profile with a headstock that matches the body's contours. The Indian rosewood fretboard has a flat 12" radius, perfect for sweep picking, speedy runs and tuneful bends.
