Good but doesn't always work
I bought this a little over a month ago and I've had trouble with it since day 1. Not sure if my particular pedal has a short in it but sometimes it won't come on. Because of this, I bought a power adapter thinking it was a battery issue... but the problem still happens. It usually can be corrected by tapping the box on the ground gently, not ideal since i worry it will mess up while performing.
DOD 201 # 1
I am very pleased with dod 201 phasor has a sweet sound of years past and it plays well with other pedals wish i had purchased sooner
Surprisingly versatile phasor.
I recently rebuilt my pedalboard. I needed to track down a noise problem and just wasn't happy with the sounds I was getting or the functionality. The DOD 201 replaced a two knob chorus. I was concerned about the flexibility of a one knob modulation device. The design of this is particularly elegant. With the knob all the way down is gives a very subtle swoosh; all the way up it's a pretty good Leslie sim. Every spot on the dial is useful. The effect overall is more subtle than the MXR Phase 90 or some of the other well known phasors. It's a winner for me.
Over-delivers!
Only one knob, but easily gets at least 3 different textures. Slow is 70s classic rock; middle is a pretty convincing univibe in front of a dirt pedal; and fast is a great faux leslie.
Nice solid phaser
I'm a fan of phasers, saw this great deal opens took a chance. It's a solid well bui,t pedal that's very musical. Currently, my favorite phaser.
Better than my original.
I had an original that I really liked but the bypass signal was awful and the phase wasn't as smooth. Of course you will read how this one is built differently with surfacemount technology, but the sound is fantastic. True bypass. The sound is so much better than my old one, I no longer regret selling it. I would give this five stars even if it was not true bypass, based on the sound alone. Matched FETs. Perfect sweep.
Warm, Musical Phaser
As most know, the Phasor 201 is a two-stage phaser pedal. It's more subtle that four-stage phasers, but also, to my ear, warmer and more organic sounding. It works perfecting to add dimension to both chords and leads. It's exactly the sound I wanted, and so the Phasor 201 works superbly for me. The Phasor 201 is also a simple pedal to operate, which for me is a real benefit. The pedal stays out of my way and performs exactly as it was designed.
