Compact 200W power for modelers and preamp rigs.

For players building around a modeler, preamp or amp-in-a-box, the ENGL Powercube 200 200W Class D power amp adds a compact, dedicated power stage without taking over the sound of the rest of the rig. It delivers 200W into 4 ohms or 130W into 8 ohms, with a 4-ohm minimum load and a 2.25 lb. chassis that keeps the setup easy to transport. An active four-band EQ, EQ bypass, balanced XLR DI and onboard clip monitoring give players useful control over both speaker and direct-output workflows. For rehearsal, recording and live rigs that already have their core tone dialed in, the Powercube 200 provides the amplification, routing and protection needed to take that setup to a cabinet or downstream audio system.

200W Output for Compact Modeler and Preamp Rigs

The Powercube 200 delivers 200W into a 4-ohm load and 130W into 8 ohms, giving compact preamp and modeler rigs enough output for a range of compatible cabinet setups. A Master control sets the overall speaker level, while an integrated limiter helps prevent power amp clipping as maximum output is approached. Thermal, over-current, short-circuit and DC-output protection add further safeguards for regular rehearsal and live use.

Active Four-Band EQ Adds Flexible Tone Shaping

Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence controls provide active ±12 dB adjustment across four frequency ranges, giving players a way to tailor the final power-amp response around different cabinets, rooms and upstream devices. The EQ can also be bypassed entirely, allowing the signal from a compatible preamp or modeler to pass through without additional tone shaping from the Powercube. Input and poweramp clip LEDs provide visual indication when levels are approaching distortion, making gain staging easier to manage.

Balanced DI and Ground Lift Expand Live Routing

A balanced XLR DI output provides a separate connection for mixing consoles, recording systems and other compatible downstream equipment, while a ground-lift switch helps address ground-loop noise when needed. The rear panel also includes an unbalanced 1/4" input and dedicated speaker output for one cabinet with a minimum 4-ohm load. With universal 100–240V AC operation and a compact 2.25 lb. footprint, the ENGL Powercube 200 200W Class D power amp is well suited to streamlined stage, rehearsal and travel rigs built around external tone-shaping gear.
