A lighter Les Paul with heavy tones, coil split and phase controls.

The Epiphone Les Paul Worn solidbody proves that a lighter weight Les Paul can punch above its class. Original ’Pauls often topped 13 pounds, but heavier doesn’t necessarily equal better. Epiphone uses a traditional weight relief process to make the Les Paul Worn less taxing for long gigs. Drilling 9 holes into the mahogany body also has the added benefit of reducing certain resonances that can lead to feedback. Topped with a maple cap, this Epiphone hides its secret well; sonically, the Les Paul Worn has even more tricks up its sleeve.

Epiphone loads the guitar with dual Classic Pro ACPNHZB humbuckers. These pickups are also coil-taped for single-coil tones, and can be switched in and out of phase. This midrange scoop gives the Les Paul Worn an airy “honk,” making it great for British blues.

The mahogany neck has a slim taper designed for speed. Classic trapezoid inlays line the Indian laurel fretboard, which has a 12” radius.

Grover Rotomatic tuners offer rock-solid reliability for super stable tuning. A fixed bridge and stopbar tailpiece combo contribute to keep the strings in check during the heaviest of bends.
