A signature with powerful humbuckers and a figured maple top.
The Epiphone Nancy Wilson Fanatic is the debut signature model designed by Heart co-founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Nancy Wilson. The body, made of mahogany with a figured maple cap, is based on the Nighthawk, first introduced in 1993. Thinner than a Les Paul, the Fanatic is compact and comfortable.
Wilson spec'd a ProBucker FB720 humbucker in the neck position, which has searing tones with a scorching output. In the bridge, it's a ProBucker 3 Slant with an open-coil design. It emulates the sound of a vintage PAF but is slightly overwound to keep up with the neck pickup. Wilson is the queen of rhythm guitar, so it's no surprise that the Fanatic positively roars when attacked. A 5-way switch and master volume and tone controls allow for a wide variety of tonal options.
Your hands will feel at home on the rounded C-shape maple neck. The ebony fretboard has twin parallelogram pearloid inlays. The Nighthawk hardtail bridge is string-thru for maximum tonal transfer to the body. You'll want to protect a guitar that looks and sounds so great; the included hardshell case is just the ticket.
