The Ibanez JS1BKP Joe Satriani Signature electric guitar is equipped with the Sustainiac driver in the neck position that’s wired to a "Stealth PRO" preamp specially customized for Joe Satriani. It allows endless sustain and expands the range of expression dramatically with a 3-way Sustainiac mode selector. A DiMarzio Satchur8 pickup fully supports Satriani's versatile playing style and massive sound. The electronics also feature a 3-way mini switch for Sustain. The three modes include normal, which sustains fundamental tone; mix, which sustains the fundamental and overtone; and harmonic, which sustains the overtone. With the Sustainiac switch on tone control (push/pull), you can activate the Sustainiac switch and get an endless ringing note. Additionally, a high pass filter on the volume pot maintains highs at low volumes.
