Flagship 3800W column PA system with powerful 18" bass, extended sound projection and controlled cardioid coverage.

Built for demanding live performances and large audiences, the LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 delivers powerful low-frequency output, controlled dispersion and detailed full-range sound. As the flagship of the MAUI series, this powered column PA system combines 3800W peak power, a fully active four-way architecture and controlled cardioid dispersion in a streamlined design for professional DJs, bands and event production companies. Its high-output 18" neodymium subwoofer delivers bass extending down to 28Hz, while 16 neodymium 3.5" midrange drivers and four 1" compression drivers provide articulate vocals, detailed instrumentation and crisp high-frequency reproduction. Delivering up to 135dB maximum SPL with a wide 120° horizontal by 25° vertical coverage pattern, the MAUI 66 G3 provides substantial headroom and broad audience coverage. Its passive cardioid column design reduces rearward sound radiation by up to 18dB, helping minimize stage spill, while DynX DSP Gen. 2 processing and advanced limiting help maintain controlled output at high volume levels. Bluetooth 5.4 streaming, flexible audio connectivity and cable-free column assembly complete a professional sound reinforcement system designed for powerful performances and efficient setup.

3800W Peak Power and Precision Drivers Deliver Full-Range Sound

The MAUI 66 G3 uses a fully active four-way architecture with dedicated amplification and driver groups to reproduce each frequency range with precision and control. Its 18" neodymium woofer operates within a low-tuned bass reflex enclosure, delivering low-frequency output down to 28Hz. Elliptical, airflow-optimized bass reflex ports reduce turbulence and unwanted port noise, helping maintain defined bass at high volume. The two-piece column houses 16 neodymium 3.5" midrange drivers and four 1" compression drivers, with horn-loaded lower midrange drivers providing increased efficiency, headroom and vocal projection. Two midrange drivers positioned above the high-frequency section support projection and midrange clarity over longer distances. Phase plugs and BEM-optimized waveguides help provide controlled dispersion, while crossover points at 200Hz, 700Hz and 1,800Hz maintain smooth transitions between driver sections. A Class-D amplifier delivers 1,900W RMS and 3800W peak power, producing up to 135dB maximum SPL, with DynX DSP Gen. 2 processing and peak, RMS and thermal limiters helping maintain controlled output during demanding performances.

Cardioid Dispersion and Expandable Bass Configurations Optimize Audience Coverage

The MAUI 66 G3 is engineered to direct sound toward the audience while reducing unwanted energy behind the system, making it particularly useful for stages where microphones, performers and loudspeakers operate in close proximity. Its passive cardioid column design provides up to 18dB of rear attenuation between 100Hz and 1kHz, helping minimize stage spill. The controlled 120° x 25° dispersion pattern distributes sound across a wide listening area while limiting unnecessary vertical coverage, supporting consistent reproduction throughout larger venues and outdoor performance spaces. For applications requiring additional low-frequency control, a second MAUI 66 G3 subwoofer can be positioned facing backward and operated with the Cardioid preset to reduce bass energy behind the system. Alternatively, positioning the second subwoofer forward provides up to 6dB of additional low-frequency sound pressure for performances demanding greater bass output. These optional configurations give engineers the flexibility to tailor the system's low-frequency response to different venues, stage layouts and production requirements.

Rugged Construction and Cable-Free Assembly Simplify Professional Setup

Despite its substantial output capabilities, the MAUI 66 G3 retains the straightforward setup and transport advantages of the MAUI column system family. The two-piece aluminum column connects to the subwoofer without external speaker cables, while automatic column detection helps streamline system configuration. Four ergonomic handles on the subwoofer and recessed carrying handles in the column sections make lifting and positioning easier during load-in and teardown. The subwoofer features a birch plywood enclosure with a protective polyurea coating, while powder-coated aluminum columns provide durability for frequent professional use. Two XLR/TRS combo inputs, two Thru outputs and a dedicated subwoofer output support integration with mixers and additional sound reinforcement equipment, while Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC, AAC and aptX codec support enables wireless audio playback. From live performances and mobile DJ events to corporate productions and outdoor gatherings, the LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 powered column PA system combines extended low-frequency performance, controlled dispersion and efficient handling.
