Resonant Korina Body Delivers Warmth and Dynamic Response
The Kingbolt Standard HH features a solid korina body, bringing the lively resonance and balanced tonal character of this distinctive wood to Reverend's streamlined solidbody design. Also known as white limba, korina is prized for its relatively light weight, consistency and rich harmonic response, providing a warm, articulate foundation with pronounced midrange presence and natural sustain. Its responsive character complements the power and clarity of the HCM humbuckers, allowing the guitar to retain definition through both clean and overdriven amplification. The Kingbolt's clean lines and retro-modern silhouette give it an understated visual identity, while its comfortable proportions make it a practical choice for extended rehearsals, recording sessions and live performances.
Roasted Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard Offer Enhanced Playability
The Kingbolt Standard HH pairs a roasted maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, combining enhanced stability with a smooth, comfortable playing surface. Reverend's heat-treatment process reduces moisture content in the maple, helping minimize seasonal movement and maintain a consistent setup through changing environmental conditions. The Medium Oval neck profile provides a comfortable, supportive grip, while the 25.5" scale offers familiar string tension and responsive note definition. A 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard provides a balanced playing surface for articulate chord work, expressive bends and fluid lead playing across 22 frets. A dual-action truss rod with headstock access allows convenient adjustments, completing a neck designed for dependable performance and everyday playing comfort.
Reverend HCM Humbuckers Deliver Powerful, Responsive Tone
A pair of Reverend HCM humbuckers gives the Kingbolt Standard HH a bold, expressive voice with the punch and articulation to handle aggressive overdrive while retaining warmth and clarity at cleaner settings. Custom-voiced for their respective neck and bridge positions, the pickups provide balanced output and complementary tonal character, allowing players to move naturally between full-bodied rhythm sounds and focused, cutting leads. A three-way selector offers familiar pickup combinations, while master volume and tone controls provide intuitive sound shaping. Reverend's signature passive Bass Contour control adds another dimension of versatility, rolling off low frequencies to tighten the response and introduce brighter, leaner textures. From muscular, saturated tones to warm, articulate cleans, the HCM pickups deliver a broad musical range without sacrificing their distinctive humbucker character.
Reverend Standard Tremolo Offers Expressive, Adjustable Pitch Control
The Kingbolt Standard HH features Reverend's standard tremolo system, designed for smooth, expressive pitch control with the stability and flexibility to accommodate different playing approaches. Stainless steel saddles provide durable string contact and contribute to punchy attack, while a full-size solid steel block supports sustain and resonant response. The push-in tremolo arm features an adjustable side screw that allows players to fine-tune arm tension for a secure, comfortable feel. Reverend's innovative Vari-Claw system provides additional customization, accommodating a firmer three-spring configuration or a softer two-spring setup with minimal adjustment. Pin-Lock tuners support precise tuning and convenient string changes, while a 1.69" Boneite nut provides consistent string support. From subtle vibrato to more pronounced pitch modulation, the Kingbolt's thoughtfully engineered hardware puts expressive control directly in the player's hands.
Retro-Modern Character With Dynamic Tremolo Versatility
The Reverend Kingbolt Standard HH brings together resonant korina construction, comfortable roasted maple neck playability and powerful dual-humbucker tone in an instrument designed for expressive performance. Its responsive solidbody foundation complements the HCM pickups' ability to move between aggressive overdrive and warm, articulate cleans, while Reverend's Bass Contour control provides additional flexibility for shaping the guitar's tonal character.
