The Rhythm Band Traditional Wood Guiro is 12 in. long and includes its own scratcher. The guiro produces a ratchet-like sound from parallel ridges cut in one side. You play it by rubbing a wooden stick (included) across the ridges. This guiro is designed with finger and thumb holes in the middle and is hollow on one end for sound projection.
