Just add salsa.
The Rhythm Band Traditional Wood Guiro is 12 in. long and includes its own scratcher. The guiro produces a ratchet-like sound from parallel ridges cut in one side. You play it by rubbing a wooden stick (included) across the ridges. This guiro is designed with finger and thumb holes in the middle and is hollow on one end for sound projection. The guiro is a percussion instrument commonly used in Latin-American music. The Rhythm Band Guiro is painted with colors of the Mexican flag.

Who ever would have guessed how much great sound and energy this guiro adds to our trio's vocal performance of "Under the Boardwalk?" It is of great sound and quality and very fun to play.
