An evolution in mouthpiece design utilizing several concepts from the standard Schilke line, the Symphony Series models are on the larger side of the mouthpiece spectrum creating a deep, vibrant sound with a well-focused center and conceptually developed to meet the demands of the modern orchestral player. They have comfortable rim shapes that provide a clean, crisp attack. They are offered with a standard cup depth or a deep bowl shape. The mouthpiece affectionately known as the Fluffy, has a flugel style cup and trumpet stem with the same rim contour and feel as the other models in this series. This has been a very popular custom choice for quieter passages where a cornet sound is desired without losing the control and focus of the sound.

After playing on a Vincent Bach 3C for several years and not feeling as if the mouth piece was right for for the way I played, I decided to experiment with mouth pieces. My band director also a trumpet player recommended a Schlike mouth pieces. I did a bit of research into the mouth piece sizes and decided on the M150* and the moment I started to play on it my lips felt more comfortable with the cup, my tone was richer but I noticed I needed more air support which through practice is being fixed. Overall I love this mouth piece and I plan on buying more of Schlike's mouth pieces in general !

Best mouthpiece I have found yet that really gets the job done. Huge focused sound that truly fills any room with sound. A bit big feeling at first but within a few weeks fit like a glove. I tried all the M models and found the M1 to be the best for both the C and Bb. I highly recommend this mouthpiece for anyone looking for the ideal orchestral sound that people around you will envy. Good luck and I hope it works as well for you as it does for me. Frank Glasson.

Fantastic Mouthpiece

This is the best mouthpiece I have ever played on. It sounds good in so many settings from Wind Ensemble to Brass Quintet to soloing in Jazz Ensembles. I was looking for something to give me an even, open sound in all registers and this mouthpiece did the trick. This is a darker sounding mouthpiece and the quaility is great! I love the Bach-Style rim and the sharpness of the bite. I give this an A+!
