The familiar StingRay attack takes on a wider range of tonal possibilities with the dual-humbucker RAY34 HH bass. The Sterling by Music Man StingRay RAY34 HH 4-string electric bass pairs a nyatoh body, a 34" scale roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and two alnico humbuckers with five-way switching and a 3-band active preamp. For bassists who want the familiar feel of a StingRay with flexible pickup selection, this 4-string design keeps essential tone-shaping controls within easy reach.

Contoured Nyatoh Body Retains the Familiar StingRay Shape

A contoured nyatoh body gives the RAY34 HH its recognizable StingRay shape in Charcoal Frost. Smoothly rounded contours help the instrument sit comfortably whether played standing or seated. The 34" scale provides a familiar long-scale playing experience.

Dual Alnico Humbuckers and Active EQ Expand Tonal Range

Two Sterling by Music Man-designed alnico humbuckers sit at the bridge and neck, expanding the pickup choices beyond a single-humbucker StingRay. A five-way selector changes the available pickup combinations, while the active 3-band preamp shapes bass, middle and treble response. This arrangement makes it practical to move between different pickup combinations and EQ settings without changing instruments.

Roasted Maple Neck Meets a Rosewood Fingerboard

The roasted maple neck uses a six-bolt attachment and a dual-action truss rod for setup adjustments. A rosewood fingerboard features a 9.5" radius, 21 medium frets and white dot position markers. The 43 mm nut provides the specified string spacing at the headstock end of the neck.

StingRay Hardware Supports Everyday Setup and Playing

A Sterling by Music Man-designed bridge anchors the 4-string setup, paired with open-gear tuning machines at the headstock. The instrument ships with Ernie Ball 2834 Super Slinky strings, and its parchment pickguard complements the Charcoal Frost finish. The hardware and familiar controls keep routine tuning, string changes and onstage adjustments straightforward.

A Familiar StingRay Platform With More Pickup Options

The RAY34 HH brings together the recognizable StingRay shape, dual-humbucker pickup selection and active 3-band tone shaping. Its contoured nyatoh body and roasted maple neck complete a versatile four-string platform.
