Take command of a full lighting rig without putting a computer at the center of the show. The ADJ Lighting Wolfmix WMX1 Mk3 is a standalone DMX controller built for DJs, entertainers, venues, houses of worship and production professionals who need fast, hands-on access to advanced lighting systems. Its 4.3" capacitive color touchscreen works alongside dedicated physical controls for programming and live operation, while compatibility with more than 15,000 fixture profiles supports moving heads, LED fixtures, effects and other DMX products from multiple brands. Building on the WMX1 platform, the Mk3 introduces a refined enclosure, redesigned button mechanism and USB-C connectivity while retaining the computer-free workflow that makes it easy to move from setup to show control.
Four DMX Universes Handle Complex Multi-Fixture Rigs
The Wolfmix WMX1 Mk3 supports up to four DMX universes and 2,048 channels with optional universe upgrades, providing capacity for as many as 680 fixtures, 50 device types and eight fixture groups. Addressing, sequencing, grouping and project-management tools help organize mixed lighting systems, while six project memories and automatic active-project restoration keep show configurations accessible between sessions. Multiple 3- and 5-pin XLR connections provide flexible DMX routing, and advanced tools including fixture FLIP and SPLIT functions, channel testing and universe mapping help simplify control of more sophisticated fixture configurations.
Color Move and Beam FX Engines Build Shows Fast
Dedicated Color, Move and Beam FX engines each provide eight effect types, letting operators create coordinated chases, movement and beam effects without programming every change fixture by fixture. Adjustable speed, phase, sequence, size, fade, fan and flicker parameters provide deeper control over how those effects develop across a rig, while global FX speed and freeze functions make broad changes easy during live operation. Preset storage with hold and fade timing provides fast recall of programmed looks, and time-controlled triggering can automate preset and flash functions when a show requires repeatable cues.
Music Sync and Expansion Keep the System Ready to Grow
Lighting effects can follow a performance through the built-in microphone or 3.5 mm line input, with Ableton Link, OS2L, manual BPM Tap and USB MIDI Clock providing additional synchronization options. USB-A supports MIDI, mass-storage and WLINK functions, while optional WLINK enables synchronization between compatible WOLFMIX controllers and DMX input functionality. WTOOLS supports project and fixture backup, and optional Easy View provides offline 3D visualization for planning shows away from the lighting rig. Lastly, the Wolfmix WMX1's redesigned ABS enclosure and powder-coated steel base feature a 100 mm VESA mounting pattern and are designed to align with the upcoming WING expansion controller, creating a modular platform that can grow with production requirements.
