One microphone offers 13 classic mic emulations
The Antelope Audio Edge Note is 13 mics in one, offering emulations of classic microphones from high-end studio models to time-honored stage gear. The back-electret condenser microphone features a cardioid polar pattern, switches for a -10dB/-20dB pad and a high-pass filter and a maximum 146dB sound-pressure level that can capture drums, guitar amps and other loud source sounds without clipping or distorting. The Edge Note is optimized for use with Antelope Audio’s discrete technology preamps, but is fully compatible with third-party audio interfaces. The big fun is in the Edge Note’s virtual “mic cabinet,” which lets you choose from iconic models that have captured drum, vocal and instrument sounds on classic and modern recordings alike. A shockmount holder is included, and the Edge Note requires 48V phantom power.
