From a lead vocal onstage to a lavalier in a packed presentation space, professional productions need wireless systems that can handle very different sources without sacrificing clarity or RF stability. The Audio-Technica ATW-D50-DRX-BH 2-channel wireless system combines a LINK-enabled ATW-DR3220LK dual-channel receiver with an ATW-DT3202/C510 handheld transmitter and compact ATW-DT3201 body-pack transmitter, creating a flexible professional system for vocals, presentations, theater, houses of worship and live production. Operating across the 470.125–607.875MHz UHF range, the system delivers 48kHz digital audio, up to 120dB of dynamic range and AES-256 encryption with an operating range up to 328'. Switchable RF modes, High Density operation, network connectivity and rechargeable transmitters provide the flexibility required to maintain clear, secure wireless performance as productions and RF environments become more complex.
Flexible RF Modes Adapt to Challenging Environments
The half-rack ATW-DR3220LK receiver offers two selectable RF operating modes to match the demands of each deployment. Normal mode uses Antenna Combining Diversity for efficient everyday operation, while Robust mode employs MRC True Diversity for increased RF stability in more challenging environments. Standard operation supports up to 17 frequencies within a 6MHz TV channel with typical latency of 2.1 ms, while High Density mode expands capacity to as many as 47 frequencies in the same bandwidth with 3.3 ms typical latency. Up to four receivers can also be linked and operated from a single pair of antennas without requiring a separate antenna distribution system, simplifying higher-channel-count installations.
Handheld Transmitter Delivers Clear, Adaptable Vocal Capture
The included ATW-DT3202 handheld transmitter comes equipped with Audio-Technica's ATW-C510 cardioid dynamic capsule, providing focused vocal pickup and a 90Hz–18kHz response for singers, presenters and other spoken-word applications. Its interchangeable capsule design also supports additional Audio-Technica options including the Artist Elite ATW-C4100 and ATW-C6100 dynamics as well as ATW-C3300, ATW-C5400 and ATW-C710 condensers, allowing the system to adapt to different voices and performance requirements. An OLED display, external controls, programmable mute and IR synchronization streamline operation, while SideTrack can redirect audio to a second output for discreet communication with performers or production personnel.
Compact Body-Pack Expands Hands-Free Applications
For lavalier, headworn and instrument applications, the ATW-DT3201 body-pack transmitter combines a compact metal enclosure with a secure cH-style screw-down 4-pin input connector. External controls and an OLED display provide immediate access to transmitter status and settings, while IR synchronization simplifies pairing with the receiver. SideTrack functionality provides the same ability to switch between two outputs for alternate communication workflows, and a 120Hz high-pass filter helps manage unwanted low-frequency information at the source. The body-pack does not include a microphone, allowing users to select a compatible lavalier, headworn microphone or instrument cable suited specifically to the application.
LINK Networking Simplifies Professional System Management
Audio-Technica LINK connectivity and 100 Mbps IP control make the ATW-DR3220LK well suited to sophisticated installed and production environments, while onboard DSP provides high-pass filtering, four-band EQ and compression directly within the receiver. Power can come from the included AC adapter or IEEE 802.3at Class 4 PoE+, with PoE+ also available as a redundant backup source. Balanced professional connectivity, BNC antenna connections and rackmount capability allow the receiver to integrate cleanly into portable systems, equipment racks and permanent installations.
Rechargeable Power Keeps Long Productions Moving
Custom lithium-ion batteries give both transmitters the endurance required for extended production days, with the handheld providing up to approximately 17.5 hours of operation at 10mW and the body-pack delivering up to approximately 12 hours. Batteries can be charged while installed in the transmitters with the optional ATW-CHG6 two-bay station or removed and charged with the included ATW-CHGA6 external battery charger. Complete with both transmitters, the ATW-C510 capsule, rechargeable batteries, receiver antennas, AC adapter, rackmount hardware and transmitter accessories, the Audio-Technica ATW-D50-DRX-BH 2-channel digital wireless system provides a versatile professional foundation for handheld and hands-free applications within one coordinated system.
