Quality and reliability for the advancing student.
The Etude ETS-200 student tenor saxophone is a quality and reliable instrument choice for beginners and music enthusiasts. Each Etude ETS-200 tenor saxophone features a lacquered brass body, neck and bell. It is free blowing and offers excellent intonation for an instrument at this price range. The professional-style keywork with tilting G# and Bb table keys, post-to-body construction, leather pads and plastic tone boosters makes this instrument ideal for beginning musicians. The ETS-200 comes with a premium ABS plastic case.

There are a lot of imported student instruments, but Etude is consistently met with favorable reviews from students and directors alike. Etude instruments are known for their ability to stand up to the sometimes harsh treatment student instruments sometimes undergo.

Not worth the trouble - price does not justify

The low B and Bb keys don't close and there is a cosmetic imperfection (dried mound of glue?). It was also so difficult to play, and I teach tenor saxophone. I ended up returning it because it was not worth the money even though it was on sale.

Made All-State with this horn after for practicing for a few years. Great horn but low notes don't always sounds perfectly (probably a pad problem) as long as a few intonation problems.

I needed an instrument for a student and didn't have a lot of band funds to spend. Student has been able to produce good sounds quickly and is excited to use a shiny, new horn. Very p,eased to get this at such a good price. Would recommend for beginners or someone wanting an inexpensive horn for recreational playing.

Great tenor saxophone for the money. I recommend the Key Leaves or equivalent to help sticky G# key (common issue).

My talented 15 year old is happy with it.

My 15 year old plays multiple instruments well. She bought an Alto sax of the same brand, and was completely happy with it. Then she wanted a tenor. She sold the Alto on CL for more than we paid, and bought this tenor sax. After 3 months, the case contains it the way you would hope. She would know if it sounded bad, and she seems really happy. The neck strap ring might be slightly misplaced, as she said the clip sometimes gets in the way of one of the toot holes. Just shaved the clip a little. Price was amazing!! Quality seems better than I hoped.
