This overture by John Tatgenhorst was written as a tribute to the many dedicated band directors across the country who develop excellence in their musical programs year after year. The music grows from simple melodic motifs into a variety of spirited and rhythmic variations. This piece also features band vocals and dramatic effects. (Grade 3)
