Warm all-mahogany tone in Martin's smallest full-size body.

Compact, intimate and rich with all-mahogany character, the Martin 0-17 Standard brings one of Martin's most comfortable body shapes to the refreshed Standard Series. Solid mahogany construction delivers a warm, woody voice with punchy mids and clear trebles, while Golden Era scalloped spruce X-bracing adds impressive responsiveness and projection to the compact Concert body. A short 24.9" scale and Golden Era Modified Low Oval neck with a High Performance Taper provide a relaxed, vintage-inspired playing feel, complemented by a smooth ebony fingerboard and precise Plek’d setup. Traditional dovetail neck construction, an ebony bridge, nickel open-gear tuners and understated Golden Era appointments reflect Martin's time-honored craftsmanship, while a satin Dark Mahogany finish completes the 0-17's restrained aesthetic. Supplied with a hardshell case, this distinctive Standard Series model offers an inviting combination of compact comfort, expressive all-mahogany tone and classic Martin construction.

All-Mahogany Concert Body for Warm, Focused Tone

As Martin's smallest full-size body, the 0 offers an intimate playing experience with comfortable proportions that sit naturally against the player. A solid mahogany top joins solid mahogany back and sides for a warm, woody voice with a strong midrange presence and clear trebles, lending the 0-17 a direct, articulate character well suited to fingerstyle playing, songwriting and recording. Beneath the top, 1/4" Golden Era scalloped X-bracing crafted from spruce enhances responsiveness and projection, helping the compact body react sensitively to changes in attack and dynamics without losing the focused character of its all-mahogany construction.

Short Scale and GE Modified Low Oval Neck for Relaxed Playability

A short 24.9" scale gives the 0-17 a slightly more relaxed string feel, making fretting, bends and nuanced fingerstyle work comfortable across the neck. Martin's Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile combines vintage inspiration with a High Performance Taper for a streamlined feel as you move up the fingerboard, while the satin neck finish provides a smooth surface beneath the hand. A 1.75" bone nut offers ample room for clean fretting and fingerstyle articulation, paired with an ebony fingerboard and 16" radius across all 20 frets. Each guitar is Plek'd for consistent fretwork and precise playability from the first position through the upper register.

Golden Era Details With Understated 17-Series Style

The 0-17 balances traditional Martin construction with the restrained aesthetic that suits its all-mahogany design. A dovetail neck joint anchors the neck to the body using one of Martin's most time-honored construction methods, while an ebony Golden Era Modern Belly bridge, bone saddle and bone bridge pins provide a thoughtfully appointed foundation for the strings. Golden Era Diamonds & Squares fingerboard inlays rendered in abalone add a subtle touch of refinement, joined by an East Indian rosewood headplate, Old Style script logo and faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. Nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs and an unbound satin body complete the understated vintage-inspired presentation.

An All-Mahogany Martin With an Intimate Point of View

For fingerstyle players, songwriters and recording musicians drawn to the immediacy of an all-mahogany voice, the Martin 0-17 Standard offers a particularly focused take on the modern Standard Series. Its compact full-size body and short scale provide an inviting alternative to larger acoustics, while responsive Golden Era bracing, traditional dovetail construction and refined neck geometry ensure the experience remains unmistakably Martin. Warm, articulate and comfortable enough for extended playing sessions, the 0-17 proves that a smaller acoustic can deliver a deeply expressive musical experience without sacrificing the craftsmanship and character expected from a Standard Series Martin.
